Yes I've been to MacDill in the past and yes there's a thread on here that's 4 years old....BUT....has anyone been recently to renew an ID that did not go to MacDill? Such as using the facilities near Orlando. If so which one? I'm at the mercy of being a walk in.

Being a 'walk -in' at MacDill was not a big deal. We were in and out in under an hour but we did go early - like about as soon as they opened.

Army reserve got post in north Orlando about 50 miles away. Turnpike to 417 the north above highway 50. Address Orange County USAR center, 3701 Corrine Dr. Room 144-145, Orlando fl. 32803. There also navy center with commissary close to Orlando IAP. One more in Orlando but, I frogot about it. If you google it will show them.

You can make reservations online on there site. The only have one employee doing IDs when I went . I was walk in and wait was about 35 mins in June.

Don't know how old you are but when you turn 75 you can get an indefinite ID card - no more 4 year stuff.

Are you taking about dependent ID? At 65 the retiree goes on trycare for life and has to get new ID card, that card is indefinite. I am unaware of any dependent I'd card being indefinite? Please inform me? I get tired of renewing my wife's ID card which she will get till she dies?

It's been a few days since you asked for more about a permanent dependent military ID card. Here is some info on it. Eligibility - ID Cards | TRICARE (https://tricare.mil/Plans/Eligibility/IDCards) The ID issuing location will know all about it. Might want to stop by our local Retiree Activity Affairs office to see if maybe they have info on the documentation that might be needed, like maybe a birth certificate. Shouldn't need it since the dependent would already be registered in the DEERS and birth date is part of the info the system has, but you never know. Here is the info for our local RAO.
