Do we have one in The Villages? Jeny bought me a drone for Christmas and I'm having a heck of a time trying to fly it.

It's an expensive one that my wife got me for Christmas. It's called the Sky Rider Propel.
The RC Plane club looks like it's more for fixed-wing aircraft. Do they have a drone group as well?

Might check with the Eflyers. Also, YOU ARE REQUIRED by federal law to be registered with the FAA before flying. All drones must have your registration ID number on them, too!!!

I may be wrong, but I think there are weight limits, the ones I have are below the weight limit, at least they were last Christmas when I got them. OP, I agree VERY difficult to fly. I tried several times in the birdcage, and could not get the hang of it. Mine are battery powered, with about 15 minutes on a charge. Camera takes snap shots only. As for a club, try a search on this site I recall a previous thread on this subject. and of course, Merry Christmas.

Tinker,
You are correct about the weight issue and they are hard to control

Yes but most have experience flying all types of RC aircraft including drones like yours. Take your drone to the field early some morning to ask for help and I bet there will be someone there to help fly it.
