Spotted by the bathrooms on the Oaks golf course. It is a very large bird. I would guess 18 inches or taller. The wing spread when it flew off was about 3' or 4'http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/ah243/Roger_Kuehne/20171229_1327551_zpsjcsp7sgy.jpg

I use my handy dandy Merlin Bird ID App to identify the beautiful birds around here.
Looks like a Coopers Hawk. But I’m not an expert. 🙂

I would go with Red Shouldered Hawk. A Cooper's Hawk would have bright yellow legs.
Good picture.

According to my Florida Bird Book , it looks like an immature Red Tail Hawk. The chest feather pattern is identical to the picture in my book.

Also checked size . Coopers hawk 2'4" to 2' 10" wingspan while red tailed hawk wing span 3'6" to 4' plus.
