Be careful out there...crazy drivers. I almost had a head on last night with someone going the wrong way at the Glennview roundabout.

Maybe they were a tourist from Great Britain or Australia.

Or, they got a bad ice cube in their drink.

Or they were hung over or still drunk from last night while celebrating New Year Eve.

That was my first thought. I don't drive when I go to England, but just sitting in a taxi or bus can be unsettling when you see a car coming at you in the left-hand lane.

I once rented a car in The Bahamas and returned after I turned into the wrong lane while making a right-hand turn on the first day.

Dirt that’s very possible.

Whenever this type of subject comes to TOTV everyone is so quick to give the reasoning as being alcohol or tourist or snowbird or … The one reason you rarely, if ever, hear is old age. Yes, maybe he or she went the wrong way around because they’re old and suffer from some impairment. I suspect the age reason is not acknowledged because it hits too close to home. For those of you that feel you’re as sharp as you were when you were 20, you’re not. Cellular degradation affects us all, that includes our muscles and brain, and no you are not exempt from the aging process – no matter how much tennis, golf, or pickleball you play. By no means does age excuse reckless behavior, just a possible explanation.
