Where can one get a flu shot? Seems like every place we call, they are all out of the vaccine. Even our doctor is all out.

They gave them out at The Villages Rec Centers in Sept.

Since I was recovering from surgery when the first batch of flu shots was available, we didn't get them at the time.

Now I'm able to get out and can't find any. Any suggestions? The Health Dept. in Lake County (Umatilla) doesn't have any and the Sumter County health dept. (Wildwood) also doesn't have any.

Have called pharmacies and a few doctor offices....didn't realize this could be a problem at this time of the year.

Try looking on line, something like "findaflushot". Try the web sites for the chain pharmacies and major retailers; (Walmart, Sams).
We waited two hours at Sam's in October and were lucky to get the shots.
Good Luck

Dr. Woodard's office had an ad in the Sun yesterday that she had flu shots available. Hubby and I went to her office today at noon and they were out, but making a list for the next batch they were expecting. Our names are close to the top of the list.

We searched around a few days ago and couldn't find any locally. We ended up driving to Clermont and got them at a Walgreens there. We called ahead to make sure they had them - BUT - even though they said they did they were out. They were nice enough to call around to other stores and find some for us. (Seems even when you call the local number it gets switched to a call center - the call center had bad info.)
