Never been, want to try it soon. Any tips, opinions?
I once saw a coupon for them on my Winn Dixie receipt. Not lately.

Excellent food quality, quantity, service.
Find out all they have to offer before the meal starts. Your favorite may come later...if you ask they will bring it to you sooner.
Very nice dining experience and ambiance.
Also check out the salad bar in advance to scout your preferences. The salad bar offerings are also sufficient to be a meal by itself.
Seniors pay $37.95 for the full dinner and $24.95 for the fabulous Salad Bar only. Regular price is $41.95.

Could you explain a little bit more about that, BTK?

Could you explain a little bit more about that, BTK?I assume he means. As they bring the food to your table, they tend to bring the cheaper items 1st... chicken, sausage... if you fill up your belly there will be no room for the prime meats. Ask what the meat lineup is that night and ask them to bring your favorites 1st.

I didn't like it because the meat is all well done due to the way they cook it. First time I ever ate prime rib well done.

The first time I went there I did not ask about all that would/could be served.
About halfway or more through the evening they came out with rack of lamb...my favorite. I would have forgone some other cuts to more enjoy the lamb chops.
Now when we go I ask for the rack of lamb up front.

The only red meat I eat. Thanks for the explanation from you and Allegiance.

I have not been to this specific Brazilian Steakhouse, but have been to others that have a similar operating model. There is an abundance of food and the main courses of meats are offered as guests request them throughout the meal. The food is delicious and the salad bar is outstanding. You need to really pace yourself. Because of the meats coming around constantly during the main course as guests request various selections, there tends to be a constant interruption of your meal. I went to this type of restaurant with friends I had not seen in a very long time for a special occasion. While the food was abundant and delicious, the constant offering of various meats as the guests request them to be a rather hectic and interruptive pace of the meal. Visiting with others during the meal was difficult.
If you want a great food experience with a lot to eat, this is a good option. If you want a more social, relaxed dining experience, this may not be for you. They don't rush you, don't get me wrong, but it's just a constant offering of food. The food was great, but the experience was not my cup of tea.

NCL has a Brazilian restaurant on their ships. They have a printed list of all the protein items that are offered. The list is on the table when you are seated. My favorite on NCL is the bacon wrapped chicken. Does the Ipanema restaurant offer that item?

Yes they have bacon wrapped chicken. We have been many times and never had a bad time. If you do not want to be bothered just turn your disc over and you will be left alone until you want more and turn it over to green. Red stop, green go!! Enjoy!
