I'm looking to replace my hot water heater in the next few weeks. I'm looking for some good references from those who have had this done. Thanks.

Consider the size of the tank if you might be adding a walkin tub.

If you have TECO and gas heater, you can't beat their deal. $9.99 a month added to your bill for 60 months, less than $600 total. Tank and installation complete unless you add extras that are really not needed. Had it done. Called in AM completed in same pm.

Thanks, will look into it. Can I just pay them the total $600.00 and not go the financing route?

Thanks.Another vote for Teco and we paid the extra $45 for the expandable tank. I am ok paying the extra 10 bucks a month since there are no financing charges for it...

Do you know TECO has a rebate program?

:read:Conservation Rebates - Peoples Gas (http://www.peoplesgas.com/residential/conserveandsave/rebates/)

I got a High Efficiency Water Heater at Lowes and received a $400.00 rebate from TECO. Almost covered the cost of the heater and installed myself.

I think you can pay it off any month you want. There is no interest charged

Did you get the rebate? Or do they just keep it making the real cost $950.00 for a non-high efficiency model.

Thanks everyone. On the TECO web site I found out if we switch from out electric oven to a gas oven we qualify for a $200.00 rebate. I didn't know about this. I will give them a call and setup the appointment for a new gas hot water heater. This really is a no brainer!
