Black Cat Adoption Party
When: Friday & Saturday, Jan 26 & 27
Time: 10AM - 3PM
Where: Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County

The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County will reduce the adoption fees specifically for those wonderful, dressed-for-any-occasion cats and kittens who are completely black, or black and white. We'll have at least 20 cats and kittens ready to meet their future families and get the adoption party started at the no-kill shelter located at 994 CR 529a in Lake Panasoffkee.



Any all-black or black & white cats/kittens adopted will come spayed or neutered, de-wormed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas, along with lots of love to give, for the reduced fee of $25. Cats of other colors come with the same benefits and will also be available for the regular adoption fee of $50.



Black cats, have been long considered lucky in many cultures worldwide, so we are celebrating them at a Black Cat Adoption Party. All featured adopted cats and their adopters will receive special gifts that day too. Come by our shelter to see why black cats are so special and interested adopters can complete their applications early for pre-approval either in person or online. Here is a picture of two of our family, Bootsie and Michael. Both rescues and now we are rescued. One has owned us for 16 years and the other for two.

Two of my most favorite kitties, Mose and Sambo, were totally black and simply the best.
They have been in kitty heaven for a number of years now, enjoying their catnip and flinging aluminum foil balls through the clouds.
