Our seven year old grandson is spending the weekend here with his Mom and we were wondering how to keep him busy. Any suggestions?:)

You might want to take him bowling, to a movie, to the ceramic shop to paint something to name a few things. There is a park near Lake Sumpter Town Square also. Have fun!

My grandson's like to go to the driving range, especially the aqua range on 466A. (wear a collared shirt)

Mopping floors, pulling weeds, etc. lolol Take him to a family, or CC pool if you're a member at those, and let him meet some other kids. Always has been good for our little ones. Get him line dancing, or any kind of dancing at the squares, too. Driving range, shuffleboard. He will have a blast whatever you do with him.

I took my 7-year-old granddaughter to Uncle Donald's Farm on Griffin Ave. off 441, not far from Spanish Springs, and she loved it. It's an old-fashioned 50-acre farm with every kind of farm animal and bird you can imagine for feeding and petting, a pony ride, picnic tables.

is a great and inexpensive place for all. Native Florida animals (except a hippo named "Lucifer"). Pontoon boat ride to park. Manatee feedings by park staff, gators, etc.

A big hit with my grandsons 7 and 9 was the airboat ride -- Wild Bill's Airboats -- take 44 toward Inverness, about a 20 minute drive from The Villages. http://www.wildbillsairboattour.com/. I loved it too.

They enjoyed Homosassa Springs too.

Thanks to all of you for giving us some ideas on how to entertain our grandson. Hopefully the temperatures will improve and we can also take him swimming at one of the neighborhood pools. We have made a list of all your good ideas and I'm sure our grandson Tyler will have lots of fun with his grandma and grandpa.

Well the grandson has come and gone. We had a great time. Fortunately the weather was great so we went to the pool everyday. Lake Sumter at night seeing all the golf carts and dancing to the music. He went to bed early every night, exhausted.

Heard from him and his Mom and he wants to live here when he gets "old" and can't wait to come back during Spring Break.

Thanks again for all the great ideas.:)
