Hello All,

Am planning a visit for the next 2 weeks. Should I bring extra long pants (chilly?) or extra shorts? (warm enough for?)

I would say some of each. Nights and early mornings might be coolish. For instance, it's supposed to be 42 tomorrow morning, but then it's going to recover back into the 70s after that. We played pickleball in very windy, cool afternoon conditions last week, only to be followed by mid 70s and humid on the court Sunday morning.

So hedge your bets and you won't go wrong. Bring a jacket of some sort. Hopefully you won't have to wear it, but it never hurts. Wear it on the airplane, which is always set to 20 below anyway.

Have fun!

Whatever you do, bring extra......wouldn't want you wearing the same thing every day for 2 weeks. :D

Seriously, hope you enjoy your time in TV. Listen to CFrance, she wouldn't steer you wrong.

Depends on where you are from. Way up north: shorts. From a tropical area: long pants and a jacket.

Coming from a northern state we don't use a jacket when temps near 50. Traveled for a living brought 3 pairs each, and 10 shirts, one light jacket. All fit in carry on. You will have a Washer and dryer in house.

Besides, can anyone tell the difference between khakis. All my pants and shorts come from Duluth, so quick dry and all are same style

I wear shorts pretty much every day. When it gets cool, I swap my flip flops for Skechers Go Walks and put on a sweatshirt.

Bring shorts, and maybe a pair of pants. Usually you don't wear long pants here, at least speaking for myself.

If you have nice legs, bring extra shorts. If not, bring long pants.

When going to the Village or living in The Villages for the month of January, be prepared for some really cool if not cold weather. We usually have some Frost and some deep frost.

Yea, it was 28 last week in the morning. Killed my little baby citrus tree even though it was covered. :cryin2: I've been trying to get a refund of my amenity fees for that week but have had no luck so far!! :jester:

I would bring three pairs of long pants and 5 pairs of shorts. At least 3 long sleeve shirts. If a girl bring some capris too. Bring some socks, tennis shoes and a pair of sandals. Layering is the key as the mornings are very cool and in the low 70's by afternoon but then it cools off again. I would bring one heavier jacket and a light weight jacket for riding around in the golf cart in the evening. Definitely check the upcoming week forecast on the weather.com the day before you leave.

Exactly! You can always purchase what you need if you find yourself in need of one or the other.

Yes, but don't just go by the high temp for the day. Look at the morning and evening. You may be playing golf or pickleball in the morning and going to the squares in the evening. Diversify!

Bealls Outlet. We always do a run there when the kids come. They NEVER bring the right clothes.
