The President has told us not to "jump to conclusions"...Chris Matthews has told us that it "is not a crime to contact al-Qaeda is it" and various others on our wonderful cable channels have talked incessantly about how he suffered from stress from his job.
I dont know......seems to me from what I read and not speaking of rumors or unfounded claims....oh sorry....jumping to conclusions and not being politically correct !

Well, there seems to have been conflicting information - hence the reason to not "jump to conclusions".
There was a story not too long after it happened stating that Hassan was working on a research study that made his contacting radical clerics seem ok. Granted that aspect of the story hasn't been getting much play over the last few days.
The only good aspect about this is that, for once, the perp is ALIVE and can be questioned. It won't bring back the dead but we might actually get some answers for once.

handled with dispatch on any wrong doing real, imagined or other wise because nobody wanted to be the one to be picking on a minority or profiling.
The good news is that he will be tried by the military. That means he will NOT be judged by a jury of we the people. Because it is a military trial, there will be no one sitting who will be below Nassan's rank.....hence Lt. Colonels and above.
They will be less likely to buy the usual insanity, or he snapped or gee the poor Muslim trying to find his way in the American system. Especially when the reality of whatever has been transpiring in his past comes to light. They will have the pressure of the public, the politicians and most importantly the families of those he killed and wounded.
For me there is no excuse that can be offered. He should be put against a wall at sunrise and shot (tomorrow morning will do nicely).

I think that some of these jobs that OBAMA saved or created other than on paper should have been in our secret service. This guy should be dealt with swiftly . Bring back the water boarding. Hope I'm politically correct.

Life in Leavenworth seems a like a good career move for Hassan. Not fair - but acceptable.

Conflicting ?
Seems the folks at Walter Reed met about him in 2008 and a few months before his superiors at Ft Hood were discussing.
Your defense of the President was not necessary...certainly not his fault..although his comments were interesting and the Matthews of the world jumped on board very quickly.
So explain to us what was CONFLICTING !!

I heard conflicting stories that he was "in" with terrorists versus stories that said he was doing a research study on them - in theory so that the military could analyze how people get recruited and, presumably, counter those efforts.
Not hearing much of the 'research study' now. As I expected, the 'conflicting stories' are giving way to more stable information.

Was he doing this research study by request from the government without CIA involvement.
Maybe it was just part of his job description.

BTK, for once, you and I are in complete agreement. Let's not waste money and time on this man. The planet is better without him. I know that's harsh, but that's just my opinion.
