Services are usually held on the first Sunday in February. Are there any planned for the surrounding area? The Dorchester attained its recognition because of the four chaplains who gave up their life vests and made the supreme sacrifice when the ship was torpedoed in WWII. Any info would be appreciated.

Tal, you may know this ~ there is a beautiful memorial rose garden dedicated to them in St. Paul, in the capitol area. Can't remember the name of the building; it fronts 494 with the garden in back.

You may want to call the American Legion 347 in Lady Lake, FL. They might know if there are any celebrations honoring these four chaplains in the Villages' area.
