Renting a home in The Villages in January. Flying down December 31. What is happening on New Years Eve? Should we make reservations now?

Diane:
Sadly, The Villages as an entity doesn't really acknowledge New Year's Eve as a special party night!
(Probably too many of us seek our bed well before midnight!)
Partying inevitably ends up being a "where you can find it" thing! My street is talking about a street party, similar to the one we held 12/31/07, but no details are yet available.
I suspect that TOTV's "Social Director" (identified as KathieI) has or will be making plans!

This year I am doing something different - bowling at Spanish Springs. The cost is $89.95 for up to 6 people on a lane, soda provided, cash bar, unlimited bowling, prizes, champagne toast at midnight, dancing etc. They are also doing it at Fiesta Bowl. So far my group has 5 people so it is about $20 per person for us. You can bring your own finger foods. Check it out if you like to bowl.

Some friends of mine did the bowling last year for New Years. They said they had a great time.
We're doing Katie Belles this year with Rocky & The Rollers. It's pretty pricey, but I figure it's a one time deal.
The last 2 years we did New Year's Eve at Flats. That was a great time.
