We are purchasing a home in Polo Ridge and plan to move in late March. The question concerns the use of a mobile storage unit (PODS is probably the best-known company for this where we currently live) during the move. Are there any restrictions against having one of those in your driveway for a period of 24 to 48 hours? We ran into some problems with this during our last move when we left a development that wasn't anywhere near as nice as Polo Ridge (no rules against it, but the president of the HOA raised a stink).

If the residents in Polo Ridge are like most Villagers they won't mind. Everybody knows it takes a day or two to get the POD unloaded.
Don't be surprised if they offer to help!:welcome:

Thanks for the response, Bogie (and if anyone wants to help in the unloading process, we'll share an adult beverage or two with them afterward).

Check the HOA rules. Some communities do not let you move in on a Sunday.

Thanks, we will do that. If Sunday is verboten, we can work around that easily enough.

:confused:That would not be the case HERE and we don't have HOA rules.

Take your time and be safe moving in. Nobody will say anything but welcome.:welcome:

I had one in my driveway for a week with no problem.
