My parents just moved here and are turning 80 and 85 this spring. Earlier in their lives they were both private pilots, and still love seeing places by air. Is there someplace that offers tours of The Villages by plane? I’d love to get them this type of tour for their birthdays.

I bet twoplanekid can answer your question. Look him up on TOTV and send him a private message. Good Luck!!!

You might check with SunAir at Leesburg Airport. I know they give flying lessons so they may be able to help you.

About a mile west of The Village of Fenney just off US 301 is Coleman Airport. It's owned by a Villager and they have 3 rental planes and 2 flight instructors operating as Four Winds Flight Training. I'm sure an orientation flight could be worked out to fly over TV. It's at 1511 Taylor Ave., Wildwood, FL 34785. They advertised several times in The Sun and they even ran a story a couple of months ago. Here's a link to their website:
Four Winds Flight Training | Sport & Private Pilot Certification (https://www.fourwindsflighttraining.com/)
Here's one of their aircraft, a Cessna 172 that can easily carry 4 adults.

That’s exactly what I was looking for. I found a similar Seaplane tour out of Traveres, but then you are looking over floats...
Thanks!

Everyone has given good suggestions such as Sunair in Leesburg, Four Winds in Coleman and the Village Aviation club which is meeting Monday Feb 12th 7 P.M. at the Savannah Center to hear Mike Kennedy of the airplane repo show talk about his flying adventures.
As I can only fly one passenger at a time in the 1946 J-3 Piper Cub, they might want to fly in a four seat aircraft to be able to share the experience together. That said, they are always welcome to contact me directly through TOTV. Have fun flying!

After reading this, I decided to treat my hubby to a Birthday surprise by taking him on SunAir’s “Discovery” flight. Julian was our pilot, a 24 yr old flight instructor who has been flying since age 14. He was just fabulous!
We took a Cessna 172 SkyHawk and flew over our home, as well as over Lake Sumter, areas south of 44 and all the beautiful lakes surrounding Leesburg.
The entire trip was a bit over 30 minutes. The fee was $135 and included a tee shirt for the Birthday Boy!
It was as a surprise and he totally loved it. The Cessna is a 4 seater, so I gotta as able to tag along.
Great fun!!

I love the Cessna 172. Learned to fly in a 152 but then moved up to a 172.
