The MMP merges onto road at Moyer Loop across from Hillsborough Trail. There should really be a Stop sign for the MMP. Seen too many close calls there :o

I agree. I think we have a stop sign at the Osceola Hills gate where the MMP merges into the road.
However, I think all cart drivers have enough sense to be very, very careful when they merge into where cars are driving, so a Stop sign is really not needed.

Hate to say it but it seems stop signs here are merely there as a "suggestion". I've seen far too many carts as well as cars blow them. Amazing MORE accidents don't happen because of this. One example is the one up the street from my house. I'd venture to say at least one vehicle (and more most likely) blow through the sign daily.

:wave:A car slows down at a stop sign and keeps driving.
A cop sees him and pulls him over.
The cop asks, "Why didn't you stop?"
The man says, "I slowed down."
The cop pulls out his nightstick and starts beating him.
"Now," the cop says, "do you want me to stop or slow down?"

Like in Italy - Stop doesn't mean Stop...It means it's your fault in an accident.
The problem at Moyer is that cars just cut into the MMP lane because there is narrow lane space. You have to see it to understand.

I should have been more clear - The MMP actually doesn't merge but continues onto Moyer Loop. At Osceola Hills the MMP ends at Deskin so there is a Stop sign for MMP.
This is a retirement community...EVERYBODY has diminishing senses :)

Stop signs would help if people paid attention to them. The good news is that most people do, but as others have already posted, a stop sign appears to be a suggestion at best to many.
Alas, my experience is that the words "all" and "having sense" does not pertain to the golf cart drivers in the Villages. Even more unfortunate is that both "all" and "having sense" would not apply in the same sentence to walkers in the Villages. As I traverse through this beautiful community, I see on a daily basis, people competing for a Darwin Award (http://www.darwinawards.com/).
