No service from AT&T on my phone

A wierd thing is happening tonight on my Iphone. It says No Service and I cannot send texts or emails on my phone. I haven't tried calling but I assume I can't. Has anyone else ever had this happen. I have had service here for 8 years in my house and this has never happened. I have rebooted the phone 4 times by turning it off and on. I also held down the power and home button and rebooted that way too.

I checked and it isn't. It acts like it is though. It just requested to do a software update so I am doing that now. Hope it helps.

I use a Microcell signal booster and it wasn't working either. I went in and rebooted it and everything came back on. I have a suspicion that it may have been an ATT problem that they corrected in the meantime but have no way of knowing. Thanks to everyone for the private messages with fixes. I really appreciate it.

It's possible that the cell tower near your house is having problems. Might not be your phone at all..

also reboot the phone.. turn it all the way off for a min and then back on.. ATT guy recommended that when I had trouble and it fixed it.. he told me we should always turn off our phones at least once a month..
