Retractable Front Door Screen

I have read over previous threads and it seems that Cool Breeze and Michele's are the two companies most often recommended for front door screening. Is there anyone else I should check with? Michele's quoted me a price of $425 (for standard). Does that seem about right?

Are you talking about retractable screen for the front door or fixed screen door?

That is a proper price. We have had them on two homes.
I would not get one if you have a pet, though. The door will retract if a pet (or grandchild) pushes up against the screen.

If you get a retractable screen door, I would also suggest you get with a white color screen. The pre-owned home we bought has the retractable screen for the front door and the screen in a dark color. When it is pulled across the door and the front door is left open, it looks invisible and appears as if the door is wide open. A white or light color screen would give you the air flow but would appear as a closed door.
