Loved this as entertainment but not so much as biography.

The music is very good as is Hugh Jackman and the rest of the cast. Hugh Jackman - Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/celebrity/hugh_jackman)

I knew before the singing began, I would want to see this again. I have felt like that with very few movies and never a musical. The music and visuals are worth the price of admission. My fiance is not a fan of musicals and went with me begrudgingly. After it was over he said it was amazing and loved the song sang by the character Jenny Lin. Even he wants to see it again.

I did see it again with some visiting relatives and there were still a good many people there on Thursday's early afternoon showing at the Rialto. Loren Allred actually sings the song lip synched by Rebecca Ferguson. (Jenny Lind).

I typically hate musicals. This one I loved. The songs were wonderful, even if lip synced. The dance numbers were hip. I believe the director always meant it to be entertainment rather than a retelling of history. Part of the fun after seeing the movie was researching the history to see what was accurate and not.
