We are out of the area for the holiday and just wondering if any more has been said about the yellow car that crashed through the Sunset Point Gate a few days ago. (i.e. have they caught the person that did this, etc.) :police:

Haven't read or heard anything that they know who did it.

I believe that TV may not have any idea other than color of the car that did the damage to the gate, heard that the vehicle was traveling too fast for the camera to either identify or get the plate number of the car. Does not send a good message. So much for having manned gate protection! Another fallacy. :ohdear::ohdear:

Now Now, that sounds like you are pickin' on my beloved Villages:cryin2: To be fair, many gates are manned.

Another fallacy.....what are the others? If it becomes too much for you, please turn out the lights when you leave.

Don't know the result; however, they have the car's license number. Not true that it was going to fast for the cameras.
As information, the gate is not manned after midnight but controlled by another "manned" gate.
I, too, would like to know what other "fallacies" you are referring to.

Don't see how not having a true gated community would be a fallacy since that is not what is advertised. You knew what you got in those terms before you bought.

BTW, unmanned gates are not controlled from "another manned gate." All unmanned gates are controlled from one central "gate control" location. My source of information is a very good friend who is a gate greeter. He said, "it's a common misconception that we control other gates." Not so, he says.
I know it doesn't make any difference, but I thought I would throw this in.
