Saturday evening around 6pm we were sitting outside listening to the music when 2 women came running in from the parking lot. One of the women attacked the bartender at the outside bar. She pummeled him with her fists cutting his face and blackening one eye. He kept trying to run from her but she kept following him and grabbing him by the shirt and wouldn't let go. The other woman just stood there and watched. Finally two of the waiters were able to pull her off of him. They called the police. She just stood there ranting and pacing. The police took her away in handcuffs. Does anyone know what precipitated this? They weren't in the bar or restaurant. They just seemed to come directly from the parking lot.

Wow. The Villages is beginning to get violent. Was it one of those young 50 year olds again?

The bartender dated her daughter and she apparently didn't like him. A bit of an understatement.

I think it would be appropriate for you to tell us how you know this. Rather than making a statement and leaving, please give a little more background.

TH, I think most of these replies are tongue in cheek. It would help if they used smilies.

Don't know what was going on but I was at the bar when one woman came in ranting at the top of her lungs about someone "ruining my family and destroying our lives" and something about a "pregnancy". Had no idea what was happening, but someone got her out of the bar/restaurant. Later we finished our drinks and headed out. There were 4 Sheriff's cars and one was about to transport a woman in cuffs. Mallory sure has some interesting entertainment!

That is the second time I have heard of some "activity" at Mallory. Last time, a drunk "older" guy started a fight with a young guy who was sitting at a table with his family. A lot of pushing and shoving, and shirts torn. Some woman joined in - cops came - bystanders pulled the old guy off. Whenever alcohol is involved, doesn't matter where you live!

Abuse is sad no matter what the reason.

Still I have to wonder, was this a Cougar situation????

This incident was reported in this mornings paper that the woman was a mother of a girl the bar tender was dating and he allegedly abused her in some way. She was arrested and thats all we need to know other than motherly love is a powerful emotion.

Doesn't matter where you live. Even in TV it bothers me that people disrespect others around them who are trying to have a nice meal, drink and dancing.

I grew up in that environment in Philly's fishtown section where fighting was the norm and if you didn't fight you had a tough time surviving. I am glad to hear that fellow villages broke it up, before it became a brawl.

We don't need this and my hat goes off to the fellow villages who broke up the fight between the old guy and the younger man. I said enough.

OOPS! The answer was there. Handie summarized the article. I just asked for an explanation again. I am guilty of skipping over and not reading the whole thread.

I'm sorry.
