Just attended the Gary Puckett show and Blood, Sweat and Tears last Friday. Previous shows seem the same. The issue is that the background music is so loud, you can barely hear the singers, whi should be the primary focus. It may be more enjoyable for me to listen at home to a better balanced arrangement.

So agree.
Saw McCartney Years Saturday- FANTASTIC BTW - and sound was not the best. We were in the 5th row so we fortunately had some of the non-amped sound.
Saw Motown Sunday, seats in the upper level, and sound was quite bad. Not only the poor balance of singers to band - but the Audio guy was always late in turning the lead singer's mike volume up. And the backdrop videos were messed up, then totally dropped out. And...the AC (jet-like) blower right above our seats - ladies had to bundle up.
Yes I did mention it to mgt staff as well as TV Senior Entertainment.
All said tho - we are so fortunate to have Savannah (even with shortcomings) that provides such wonderful live entertainment at a great value.

Have been shying away from Savannah since The Sharon opened. Lower level seats have a poor sight line and sound system is inconsistent. But I'll be at the upper level tomorrow night for Johnny Wild & the Delights A Night at rhe Opry show. Hopefully, the sound will be as good as some of the shows I've seen there (Galo Rivera, Jay and the Americans).

Keeping in mind that most, if not all, entertainment groups provide their own sound set up.
They have to adjust their set up in the many different venues....i.e. Savannah/The Sharon.....two very different "auditoriums"....

You would think they do sound checks so this wouldn't happen Could just be the acoustics there aren't very good.

Have been having this conversation with the entertainment staff and John Rohan. The major issue at Savannah is the speaker system and sound absorbtion. It was designed for a "rec center" not this type of entertainment. They have added the speakers in front of the stage and the board has been upgraded. The large speakers at the top and sides of the stage need to be replaced. As I understand it, the rec department and the entertainment group are at odds on who should pay what for the upgrade. I have also been told that dollars have been requested in the budget but has yet to get through.....who knows if that is true or not and whose budget. My suggestion is that those of us that are not happy become the squeaky wheel and keep letting both the rec department and the entertainment department know that they have work to do.
