Golf tournaments?

We are thinking of retiring in The Villages in a couple of years. We are very avid golfers, and I'd like to play tournaments while there. Not big money deals, but just something to have some competition. Are there many tourneys at the various courses from October to May or so? Thanks.

There are some tournaments but every Tuesday there are men's day and on Wednesday ladies tournaments.
