Please pray for our long time member, Bonny Simpson, who has been a major contributor to TOTV since 2008.
I heard today, Bonny is in hospice care and needs a miracle and many prayers.
She is such a sweet lady, always smiling, definitely enjoyed having a good time and has more friends in the Villages than anyone I know.
Please say a prayer for her today. Thank you! KathieI

Very sad to hear that. Bonnie has always been a nice friend on Talk of the Villages to hear from on the social scene in the Villages. Dining out and the like mainly. Sending prayers.

I am very sad to read that Bonnie is in hospice. She always posted upbeat items and she knew her restaurants.

She is still with us as far as I know. I have had neighbors/friends in hospice for very brief periods but others hung in there for much longer.

Thoughts and prayers for Bonnie/Bonny. I remember her explaining that when she joined, her name, "Bonnie" was already taken, so she became Bonny. I remember her as never posting a bad thing about a restaurant, because she said the ones she didn't like, she just didn't go back to, rather than posting negatively. I remember that she lived in the same area of Grand Rapids, MI, as we did, with kids attending the same school district (although we didn't know each other). I remember a couple years back Bonnie saying she had been on 56 cruises. It's probably 70 cruises by now. I always thought of Bonnie as a person who really does live life to the fullest.
But I do remember her speaking of illnesses and hospitalizations. I hope & pray for a miracle for her.

I remember when she went by Bonny from Bonnybrook. Met her a few times at Parrot Head Club events where she was very active. Also at the LSL City Fire. Last time I saw her she was on oxygen, but her spirits were high. A lovely lady with an infectious smile. Hoping for the best.

One of the most openhearted and kindest members here, even when she was arguing in defense of her many cherished restaurants and staff. She definitely made the most of her years in TV and spread her infectious, upbeat spirit to innumerable friends.
She mentioned her health only in passing when sticking up for The Villages hospital, but it can't have been easy for her.

Bonnie, I hope you are able to read all the wonderful comments.
Since I joined in 2012, your posts were something I read. Loved hearing your comments about the different restaurants.
May you find comfort and ask God to be with your caretakers.
I have not met Bonnie but wish I had. She had a beautiful perspective on life and we were fortunate on TOTV that she shared her views with us. I looked forward to her posts. Bonnie, our thoughts are with you and we hope you feel better. You have many fans.

A beautiful example of a person with serious health issues that you would never suspect. A true restauranteur who knows what she talks about. Godspeed to recovery, Bonnie.

She is Bonnie Evans Simpson on Facebook and there are many beautiful interchanges on her Facebook page. I think she would want many of you to know that.
She is a caring and beautiful person and her illness is very serious.

I am so saddened to read this. Though I never met Bonnie, I have “known” her for many years via TOTV. Her posts were always upbeat, fair, and kind...just as she seems to be. Peace and strength to Bonnie and her family.

Bonnie is such an amazing girl. Really beautiful, inside and out, she literally has thousands of friends. She finds good in people and situations and has a wonderful husband and children.
Bonnie is the kind of person we all aspire to be. She has had a positive influence on people who have never met her in person. She is loved by people who work in the restaurant business all over this town as she takes the time to know them. I have never heard a negative thing from her, ever.
I am so very sad, as is everyone who knows her, that she is so very, very, sick.
