Can anyone recommend a decent dentist that does not require full mouth x-rays before seeing you?

I moved down here a year ago---and someone sent me to a dentist in Fruitland Park. I'm sure he is "okay"--but, he charges a lot for a cleaning and doesn't have very up-to-date equipment. I am thinking that I may need a root canal through one of my crowns and would like to find someone who is good......

We used Magnolia Dental, up 441 towards Summerfield. Initial exam, xrays and cleaning was $55 for new patients. I was there today for a broken tooth, $47 for the exam. Prices are pretty reasonable for crowns, unless you want gold ($899). Will have it done in January, after the Holidays.

Dr. Burbank is on 441/27 and he diagnosed my abcess last month and sent me on to a great oral surgeon.

Dr. Burbank charged me $27 for the diagnosis, xray, and prescription for antibiotic and pain medication. His office is SPOTLESS. I was very impressed.
