VOTER REGISTRATION LETTER iMPORTANT INFORMATION

In yesterday's mail I received a very official looking letter from VOTER PARTICIPATION CENTER telling me I was not registered to vote in the State of Florida. I have lived here many years and am an active voter. This morning I checked my Voter Registration card and then called Sumter County to ask them what they knew about this.

I am registered, the letter evidently is put out by a legal information gathering company and there is nothing they can do to stop this type of correspondence.

If you get this mail you can disregard it or call your local Voting office for further information.

Unfortunately it is legal. They have free mailing on their envelope and free mailing on the inside envelope for you to use ............ your tax dollars at work!

I posted this information to alert people to the fact that this is basically a legal scam, but it is unsettling to receive an official looking letter telling you that you are not registered to vote!
