Does anyone know what the latest 30 YR Mortgage rate is with Citizens First.
I got one in August at 5.5% and I see them advertised at 4.8% now on the internet. Also has anyone done the math on what the rate has to be to make refinancing worth while?
Thanks, Bill from Duval & MA

The monthly payment for a 30 year $100,00 loan for interest rates of 4.8% and 5.5% are $524.67 and $567.79, respectively as shown below. If the loan is $150,000, the monthly payment would be the product of 1.5 and the monthly payments as shown below.
Principal Interest Rate Monthly Payment
$100,000 4.80% $524.67
$100,000 5.50% $567.79

Check out Insight Financial Services (Credit Union). We got 4.38 no points 15 years a few months ago. The current rates would be on their web site.
