KK's Auto detailing. He has a place on 25, but will also come to the house. I think the last time I had it done it was $125 for interior and exterior. Cars look great.

When I lived up north I religiously wash the under body off to get the salt off. If not My 66 belvedere would be rust bucket in couple years. Most vehicles today have lot of plastic's. dirt and water creates rust on non treated metal parts where it sets on thin sheet metal, why you see bubbling paint on older cars that didn't get washed good. So good spray of the suspension and underside every once in while washes the dirt off. Rain water off street leaves mucky film, not as good car wash?

Same here. No one can clean mine better than me; takes me a little over an hour to wash and towel dry, vacuum/wipe down the inside. One person mentioned $125 to get theirs done inside and out? Yikes. That would run into some serious money for me since I clean mine inside and out once a week.

I'm no expert on anything car related, but my husband has taught me over the years that washing a car and detailing it are 2 very different things.
If you can get a good detail job for $125 that is a bargain compared to prices up north which are 2 to 3 times that.

There is a car wash named Atlantis just past Cracker Barrell on 441. You can get the $23 dollar car wash and it is as good as getting your car detailed up north. Take a leap of faith and tip them well before they touch your car, just do it you'll see why. This service is good enough unless your vehicle is destroyed. (A Real Mess)

Second plus for Atlantis, you get a free was on your birthday and a free and you get a free wash (I believe) after 6 washes=if you sign up and get a frequent customer club

Your advice is generally spot on. We drove out to Atlantis the past Saturday and did as you suggested. DH tipped up front. Our Rav4 looks great. However after we were done, I asked him how much he had tipped. He said he gave them $20. I tend to be a generous tipper also but $20 on a $28.00 service struck me as overboard.
Do you agree or disagree? What would be your recommended tip?
