This is Felix the Cat. He is 9 yrs old, neutered and not declawed. His owner, my client, cannot go home again and Felix is living alone, with me trying to find him a loving home. He has been pampered by a very nice elderly man. Felix has been going out to do his thing, and then comes right back in and spends all day in the house just laying down. He does love to chat. If you are looking for a loving companion, Felix could be the one. His owner says "Please find him a home where he will be treated gently as no one has ever been rough with him". It's sad for him after 9 years to lose his home and his cat. Please think about Felix or if you know anyone who may enjoy his friendship. Please share out wherever you can. Thank you.

There must be a cat lover out there who can give this elderly gentleman peace of mind knowing that someone kind is going to adopt this adorable tuxedo kitty.
We would take him but we are over our limit.

It's heartbreaking for this gentleman to lose his home and his pet.
We could all end up in somewhat similar circumstances.
Please help Felix find a home.

Thank you all for your sensitive thoughts. Felix still does not have a home. I only have a short time to re-home him before the son arrives for a weekend to deal with the business in front of him regarding getting the house ready for sale. I fear that Felix will not have a good story ending. If you know of anyone who may offer a loving home, please call me. Jane 352 391 0899

Did you post on NextDoor and FaceBook?
Hope he finds a home soon. We already have a kitty we took in out of the woods of our hometown.

Thanks again for keeping this in the forefront. I am meeting with a woman today who is interested in taking Felix! I will report back how it goes. I also got a second call that I missed last night from another woman interested, so I am hopeful that Felix is wanted and will have a loving home today. You have been wonderful to help spread the word about this lovely cat and his owner who cannot go home. What wonderful people you are. I will definitely let everyone know if he is homed today. It's a holiday weekend of Passover and Easter so prayers seem to be answered in an extra special way!

I'm glad Felix may have found a home. The OP stated he goes "out to do his thing". How many people let their cats out like this when there is an ordinance saying pets need to be leashed?? Yes, even cats! I heard on the radio just this past week how so many "lost" cats never come home---probably due to the natural preditors here. If we still had our kitties of the past (who were "insiders") I'd have been truly sad if they'd been snatched up and taken from us!!
Felix looks well cared for my his human and I do hope that that continues.

I also agree cats should not be let out, but this is not my cat and however the owner managed Felix and this option of letting him out, lucky for Felix he has survived. I am not sure but I think Felix goes out in the year and then comes right back in, but still a danger, and I hope his new home will use a litter box and keep him in. Felix loves to cuddle on a blanket on the chair all day, so I am sure he would love to not have to go through the cat door and go outside in the elements. I totally agree cats need litter boxes here. I share your concern. For the love of Felix and all cats.

Meeting up with a second person today. The first person had four cats already and cages them part of the day. Felix will do better with one person who dotes on him and where he can be free in the house. Will let you know! Must be the right home, not just any home will do.
