Leading up to the Copenhagen summit, reading this article from the BBC:

I was struck by something that came from AOSIS (Association of Small Island States) and some African countries such as Sierra Leone, Senegal and Cape Verde. Get this:
Several re-iterated the demand of small island developing states that the rise in the global average temperature be limited to 1.5C
King Cnut was famous for commanding the tide to stay out. Now we have leaders wanting to pass laws regulating the weather.
Even those who are most fervent in their beliefs about man's effect on climate change will tell you that they don't know how much GHG (GreenHouse Gasses) levels will result in how much temperature variance.
