Who is your favorite band that is or has played the town squares ? One that came to mind for me was Paul Vesco Party Band. Another one was Shepard's Pie. Anyone know the trivia behind Shepard's Pie ?

Okay Rusty, you stole my idea but I'll play along. Haha. I can't remember the band's name but we saw them once last summer, they were a Jimmy Buffett cover band. I'm not even that big a Buffett fan, but I really enjoyed the show. My second favorite is Hayfire. If Hayfire still has the same young female singer they had last time I saw them. Wow could she sing a tune!
Now breaking out my popcorn as well.

I think the band you are referring to are the Caribbean Chillers. I heard them for the first time on March 23 at Spanish Springs. I am not really a Jimmy Buffet fan but I did enjoy this band.

Sounds right. I remember, from a distance, the singer even struck a remarkable resemblance to JB. Probably not by accident.

Shepard's Pie had Dunning Shaw as their lead singer. He quit and they became Uncle Bob's Rock Shop. Mac and Dan Sanders are two brothers in the band. Mac is also a guitar luthier.

A band that doesn't play anymore from Webster, Dan something, they were great.
As a musician who has played in bands and does mostly solo's, I understand what it takes to perform. Bands require a special connection between members as well as talent. Keeping a band together for the long haul is tough and very special.

Johnny Wild and the Delights is currently my and hubby's favorite band. Rocky and the Rollers used to have the top spot but they have fallen.....better word is plummeted......well below Johnny Wild. I don't know what has happened to Rocky's singers but they sound absolutely awful.

Was a couple of Uncle Bob's members also part of Norman Lee and the Boondock Saints ? I think they also do the sound booth mix still today.
Here is two more that popped into my pea brain
- Herb Gross and the Invictas (pre Rocky and the Rollers?)
- Johnny Cool and the Mobster Swing Bnd (another Paul Vesco band?)

I like most of the bands listed. My only wish is that they start updating their play list. There is only so many times you can hear Mustang Sally! There is a lot of great 70’s, 80’s and 90’s music that is left untapped!

Agree, Todd is a great guitar player and can rock with the best of them. The first couple times I saw them they were absolutely great, but recently not nearly as good. I suspect the folks running the entertainment have toned down their act to make it more in line with the typical town square event. The songs changed from the likes of Europa by Santana or an electric guitar solo of the National Anthem to Play that Funky Music White Boy? What a waste of talent!

Sorry to hear the changes. They opened one night with the electric guitar solo of the National Anthem (Jimi Hendrix version), and everybody stood amazed. Some for the first time hearing that version and some because it was so well done.
If I hear Play That Funky Music White Boy one more time I'm going to yell FREEBIRD!

Not a fan of 50's music but love the way Johnny Wild presents it.
Also like Bobby Blackmon and the Three B's.
Uncle Bob plays the most difficult music.
Loved Cactus Jack in Katie Belles but they don't come across as well once outside.
The lead guy for American Martian must be the most annoying guy in the Villages.
