The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County is pleased to announce that it will return as a PetSmart Adoption Partner showcasing many of the shelter’s adoptable cats in the new PetSmart PetsHotel store in The Villages. HS/SPCA Community Outreach Adoption liaison, Gloria Litman, noted that "we were so pleased when PetSmart contacted us about presenting our adoptable cats at their new in-store cat adoption center. It will greatly contribute to the many beautiful, healthy cats finding their own families. And for special adoption events there, we'll also have many of our great dogs present. We share a common goal of connecting people with pets." Litman, a Villages resident and HS/SPCA volunteer, pointed out that "the HS/SPCA will continue to house many adoptable cats at its main Lake Panasoffkee shelter, but this added exposure at the new PetSmart PetsHotel store will make it a wonderful opportunity to showcase and save even more deserving lives. Come by either location and find your new family member!”

Cats from the Humane Society/SPCA will be available for a $50 adoption fee which will include their spaying or neutering, vaccinations (including Rabies), a Leukemia Combo test, de-worming, a flea treatment, and a microchip. The HS/SPCA will have adoption applications, cat bios and general information available for interested adopters.

The PetSmart PetsHotel will specialize in pet boarding, grooming, doggie day camp, training classes as well as offering pet food and other supplies.
