I just bought a used car and surprisingly was very pleased with the process. I worked with Enterprise Car Rental's vehicle sales department. This is where they sell their rental cars that are coming out of service. I found a car I liked on their website and called them to discuss the deal. They agreed to transfer the car from Miami to Orlando (their nearest site to the villages 1hr 10 minutes) free of charge with no obligation to me. They assured me that they only sell cars that are in good shape. They offered me a price to trade in my current vehicle.

I asked them to bring the vehicle to Orlando. They kept me well informed of its progress (it took 2 days). I made an appointment to go look at the car. It was in great shape as promised. I was sure the trade in offer would drop dramatically after they had me in their office and inspected my car, but it did not. They gave me the Kelly Blue Book trade in value. They processed all the paper, and transferred the plate and title.

I think this is the first time in 10 years that somebody promised me something over the phone and then actually did what they promised.

Go to Enterprise.com, click on BUY, then on Browse Selection and take a look.
