Four of us enjoyed a good meal at the Lady Lake location.

Sixteen year old Grand Son ( the only one to eat the Calamari) has been up all night vomiting and with diarrhea.

May not be the restaurant. I've read where you can get food poisoning symptoms up to 3 days after ingesting. UNLESS you have a true food allergy!!!

You may want to call the health department. They investigate this type complaint quickly. I got food poisoning once and it was sudden and violent. I feel badly for your grandson.

The key for food poisoning is if anyone else ate the same food and became ill. Another factor could be gastroenteritis. What typically is NOT food poisoning is when someone complains they ate something and were sick within an hour. I'd call the restaurant, talk to the Manager, and explain what happened and ask if anyone else has complained.

I got Noro virus from a much loved tea room in the area last year. All three of us were sick for a week afterwards and it was then spread to all of our families. I called the health dept and they did an investigation including taking stool samples. The report said the employees had been sick with Noro virus that week and handling the cold sandwiches without proper gloves and some other violations. I ended up in the emergency room because I became dehydrated and was given fluids and nausea meds and felt a lot better.
Holy cow. Were there any repercussions to the restaurant?

They refused to even give me the name of their insurance company so I could possibly collect the money for my copayment which ended up being almost $2000 out of pocket. They shortly after that went out of business.

I wonder if that was the tea room whose foreign (British, I believe) owners were deported after visa non-compliance.

Yes, they were back. They were back to sell the contents of the Tea Room. Glad to be of assistance. Your due for posting a knock out funny joke. :cryin2:
