My wife and I have been trying for 3 years to sell our home in New Jersey and relocate to the villages. Since we have been unsuccessful so far we are renting January thru March in the villages. My question is, "what is the best method to schedule start times for the 9 hole courses for my wife and I"?

Get a copy of the automated tee time pamphlet when you get your I.D. cards.
It explains how to reserve tee times via the telephone, day or night.
The easiest way is to reserve an unused tee time at any course.
As long as you are open to playing any time that is unused, this is the easiest.
If you look up www.golfthevillages.com it gives you a good heads up.

If you are willing to spend $8 per month, you could get a http://thevillages.net account. This is IMO the 'easiest way' to request tee times. I suspect that time of year you will be better off making a tee time request and not trying to get a reservation. Reach them here to see if you can get an account for 3 months:

Sales and Customer Service:

Read the following document for how the tee time system works and how to access the system via phone instead of thevillages.net. It is very informative about how times are allocated.
