Can anyone advise of a museum in PA that might be interested in a medal and certificate presented to my late Aunt's father? He was a doughboy in WWI, and at the start of WWII volunteered to serve again. As a machinist, he was assigned to ride and maintain railroad services. I found these items recently and thought some organization might be interested in them.

He was born and raised in Cokeville, PA, which I understand does not exist any longer due to a flood in the '30s. Since I'm not from Pennsylvania, would appreciate some thoughts or suggestions. Is there railroad or state museum which might be interested? How would I contact them?

You might want to try The Pennsylvania Military Museum. They are located in Boalsburgh... just outside of State College, PA (home of Penn State University).

The website for The Pennsylvania Military Museum is:

Here is a quote from their home page:

"The Museum recounts the story of Commonwealth citizens who served our country in defense of the nation. Their service is highlighted through exhibits and artifacts that are documented by the museum's excellent collection of vehicles and small arms."
