Where was that?
Yesterday an eleven foot long alligator was removed from one of the neighborhoods in the Village of Pine Hills.
It was found just outside the homeowner's front door.
April and May is mating season for alligators and they wander around out of their usual areas.. It is hard for animal lovers to watch, but a large alligator is a danger to people and pets and they will be removed and killed.

Were they keeping the " Pace of Play" or were they playing too slowly ?

I don't know what to think or say! Can you imagine the poor people who had this animal on their property? There goes sitting outside on a nice night. You really need to be aware of your surroundings at all times. A friend of ours had a black snake come up near her and her daughter when they were innocently sitting on the front porch. I know the animals were here first but it is an eye-opener for a city boy. I guess our animal problem really isn't a problem at all. Frog's a go-go. They are loud and dirty but at least they are not going to be seen on Swamp People. We need Troy Landry. Or our favorite Alligator woman, Mrs. Elizabeth.

Where is Pine Hills?
In the Fruitland Park section of the Villages, south of CR466A and east of the Colony shopping area.

Where is Pine Hills?
It is a newer area...last three years? South of 466A and I think in Lake County.
But..........alligators are all over Florida and during late April and May they wander away from home, searching for mates and behaving erratically.
They DO attack people and DO eat pets.
I admit I hate to see a film with someone prodding them. We both think that was so the alligator would roll and wrap itself in the rope so that it's mouth can be taped closed.
The men were doing their job. One I wouldn't want.

Isn't a caddy required for walkers. Are they too cheap to pay cart fees?

I keep a "Beware Of Dog" sign in front of my house. Works like a charm. Never had a gator at my front door.

A new issue of "Villages Magazine" came in today's newspaper. There is a story about the Haseman's home in Pine Ridge, it has a 3600 sf lanai and T&D built their largest pool there. If you look at the photos of the front of the home and then look at the video, it sure looks like that's the home where the gator was caught. Their address is 3732 Conservation Trail 32163.
