We recently purchased a 4 seater StreetRod Golf Cart. We went to the class to learn the rules. We were told that because the golf cart extends out into the street, that we need to park it like a car. We have been doing this, so not to be towed. The other night, we came back to our golf cart and two other golf carts were parked behind us and a NASTY note was left in the cart "Thanks for taking 2 parking spaces MORON "
So were we in the wrong ??? We want to park legally.
Thank You

We parked straight in second cart from line with two seater, fiat parked in same space, sometime after we walked away. There is more than one inconsiderate person here

I have seen 4 seaters that we’re backed in to a single spot, with the rear extending over the sidewalk. This may or may not be possible with your street rod golf cart.

If it's a 4 seater that's like a car...with everyone facing front THEN I'd park like a car. Saw one today in SS parked like the others and it was wayyyy out into the street. THAT person was a moron. If the kind with the seat facing backwards then back in and park like the other cart so your extension doesn't hang out into the street. Hope this helps!!

I thought all Street Rods were four seaters? If that’s the case, then you should be able to park like the other carts. They don’t extend out enough to create an issue. Park on the street like the other carts and see if out too far. If your car does jut out more than an inch two, then park parallel. If not, park cart style. Either way, ignore the nasty note. Some folks are just way too full of themselves.

The 4 seaters the all four face forward should be parked like a car. They are much longer than a standard cart with 2 or 4 seat. The moron is the ones that don’t or can’t realize that. You were not wrong.

You're actually correct. :D
However, I was anticipating the comments...from some usual suspects.
The OP didn't do anything wrong though and it seems most... are acknowledging that. :ho:

Sorry for the nasty note. Most of us are very nice people.

without a tag or id on a cart--you can do what you want parking wise--ignore the privileged people who follow that doctrine
Kudos for trying to be considerate and safe

I see REGULAR cars (not carts) driving around and parking all over the place with FOR SALE signs on their windows. Why would (or should) a golf cart be different?
Also, why should it bother you so much? I think that would be a post office concern. Just sayin'

I would have just rolled their carts out of my way and leave them where I move them. If they see something and come over, I would like to know why I was called a moron and just laugh at them because there would be nothing they could do. People always think the world revolves around them, so the person didn't park as they liked. Get over it.

I would write a nasty note and keep it handy. Then I would park wherever I want and put the nasty note on my windshield.

Rules! We don't need no stinking rules!
Rules, something concrete written down that majority agrees to.
Suggestions, minority opinion on what should take place, but has no authority.

Better yet, after post the note, flatten you're tires (with elect. Air pump on board to pump them back up) and put on some of them stick on windshield cracks and bullet hole stickers. :p

LMAO! That's EXACTLY what I did. Wife and I were food shopping at Walmart on 466 (this was last summer on a 95 degree day). I parked my "cart" on the "forward" half of the parking space (someone was next to me on the "outside" half). We came out of Walmart and someone just parked directly behind us blocking us. I was livid. Couldn't go forward or back. Had lots of frozen stuff. Wife ran into WM and they wouldn't page so we popped the brake on the guys cart that blocked us and pushed it out 1/2 into the travel lane and the other half was inside the "shopping cart corral" and drove off. Had I not had a ton of frozen stuff I would have pulled up and sat there and watched until (s)he came out. Some people really have big gonads.

I have a tear in my eye. You are becoming a Real Villager and losing that N.J. Edge. What would you have done at home at Sam's in Linden in the same situation if they were still open? :boom: BADA :boom: :1rotfl:

LOL, never liked SAMS, especially the one in Linden despite it was less than 2 miles from home. Always travelled "all the way" to Costco in Union. While up north we had membership in all 3 clubs (Sams, Costco & BJ's) now unfortunately we have to drive over an hour to Costco - which we just did a few days ago. SAMs here is OK in a pinch but Costco still has the best T.P. and better $1.50 dogs. :D :D

IMHO, Costco is heads above the others mentioned...and isn't even in the same league.
