We are looking for recommendations of companies you were pleased with in removing dead Empire Zoysia and resoding. Any advice you have for us as a result of your experience in doing this type of project is also appreciated. Also interested in companies to avoid. Thank you.

Someone mentioned "bahaya" (not sure of spelling) but I understand it's a local grass that does well with little water. Any comments?

"Bahia" grass is commonly known as a cow pasture grass. While it does not need much maintenance and is a low water user, you will never get that rich, thick, green-looking grass that looks like a carpet.
I personally would never recommend it for a home lawn.

I called Allen's Sod today. They no longer have or work with Empire Zoysia.
Has anyone ever gone through the kill the whole lawn in order to kill weeds and invading Bermuda grass, then prep and resod with Empire Zoysia? Who did you use to do this? Was it successful? What was the process like?
Thanks.
