The statistic I am very interested in is what is the target ratio of championship golf courses and sports pools to number of Villages/ homes and when and where will they add more championship golf courses and sports pools?

I think this was discussed on these boards some time ago. There are areas of TV that have more free golf, championship courses and rec pools than others. It's not evenly distributed throughout TV - all you have to do is look at a map. To me, it looks like as soon as you cross 466A and go south towards Brownwood, the "free stuff" starts to get a bit thin. The new areas by Fenny seem to continue this trend, substituting smaller "Putt and Play" golf and "Pitch and Putt" golf for more land-consuming Executive courses. Seems like the developers would rather build houses to sell than use the land to provide "free golf" and other amenities.

I don't know if you're still up north, but your screen name and location say that you are. The map is a little misleading. I'm off St. Charles near Sterling Hgts Rec Center about a 1/2 mile north of 466A. It's fairly central between Brownwood and LSL at about 3 to 4 miles to either one.
With golf, I only play the championship courses and I look at it as how long does it take in a cart to reach the course. From my home in a golf cart at 20 mph within 20 minutes I can reach Cane Garden, Havana, Mallory, Arnold Palmer, Evans Prairie, Bonifay and Belle Glade, and within 30 minutes Glenview. I have played Lopez three times which is about 50 minutes and Terra Del Sol twice, that's about 40 minutes. Even though Glenview is a 30 minutes we have probably played that course as much as any, I've cut that trip from 40 minutes to 30 minutes by using the Kingston Way shortcut through Winifred.
Tomorrow I'm playing Havana, which on a map looks like it on the opposite side of TV. I'll be there in 15 minutes, St. Charles south to Buena Vista, north to O'Dell and east to Havana.

Maybe it is as simple as adequate enough land to accommodate executive or championship courses.
I do no think the number of holes available is based on how many or how much is in any neighborhood or proximity.
15 years and counting.....have never not been able to get a t time for the day requested. We put in pretty broad requests...across several hours with specific courses and anywhere available.
Based on the rate of sales and continued expansion it is obviously not an issue for the incoming new residents.....who we all were once upon a time!!

It's also possible that Golf is not as big of a selling point as it once was. They are selling to a younger demographic and what was a high point for previous buyers may not be for up and coming retirees.
Like any successful business I'm sure the development company has done it's research to see what future customers want

Courses are first, pools shortly after. Only the new part can accommodate a new championship

A couple of years ago I compared the population of each year to the number of execs and champs and it seemed pretty even. I did not sort by distance. I would also like to know if that's still true.

Not sure why an even distribution would be important. All amenities are available to all residents. I simply make a drive to the place that I want to be, just like I did in every other city in which I lived.

I'm going to disagree with you just a little on the issue of building of golf courses because the number don't support it. Specifically, in CDD12 (Fenney, DeSoto, De Luna, etc.) which is all the area currently under development west of the turnpike there are plans for 5 executive courses, 2 are open, 2 are in the final stages of construction, and grading has started on the 5th. (this does not include the pitch and put or put and play courses) These are in an area that will have just over 3600 homes, or about 1 hole for every 80 homes. The current villages average is about 1 hole for every 90 homes. So the new course are bringing the overall average down contrary to popular thoughts on this and other web sites.
Not included in these numbers is the new championship course on the east side of the turnpike that was announced but no real details released. Also, none of us are in the developer's inner circle and have seen the long term plans (think 20-30 years out) of what will be built. It is doubtful that they will screw up a plan that has worked well for over 30 years so far. The developer only shares what is absolutely necessary to keep the building and permitting process going, anything else is financial suicide for them.
Another good indicator to look at is what they are building and how they are using the land. CDD12 has more green/open spaces that other districts, for example CDD12 and CDD10 are both just at 1500 acres but CDD12 has 3637 homes planed and CDD10 has 6647 homes. This acreage DOES NOT include any golf courses, only homes, roadways, and public spaces. So nearly twice the green/open space per home in CDD12 vs CDD10. To me that is a shift in the right direction for the residents.
What they've announced so far of the big picture is about 28000 new home south of SR44. Supporting that big picture they have given us a very small window into just 3600 homes, 5 executive course, 1 championship course, a couple of recreations centers, a Villages Grown farming area, a couple of bridges, and some hints of commercial areas to come. Assuming they hold true to their past, and there is little indication they won't, there is a lot more to come to support the big picture. We all just need to wait and see.

I would disagree with you on this as the lot sizes in CDD12 seem to be smaller than in CDD 10. Most streets seem more compacted in Fenney with less land to the street side. Public land is not my space. I am happy to live in CDD10 with more space around each house.

Everyone thinks theirs is the best.
No. Everyone does not think theirs is the best.
Most people do not even think that way! It isn't a contest.
Many residents move two, three or more times, and each time isn't necessarily because the next one is better.
For whatever the reason, it serves their purpose.
