Why is a fence being put up in Mira Mesa on the corner of Del mar and Del rio?

To keep out the kangaroos I have heard.
(That’s a straight line waiting for the right response.)

Is it a big, beautiful fence?

Tell us more about the fence, OP. Are fences against deed restrictions in that area?

It is an empty field that I was told was not owned by the villages" people were parking in the field so I'm wondering if this the reason for the fence. They are putting in the poles right now and they are very thick like a telephone pole.(but not a telephone pole) I hope the fence will not block our view of cars coming up the street. Hoping it is a split rail type. The field is part connected to the rio grand field and the field on 466 that they are now clearing out. They guys are gone now so when they come back I will ask.

I'll bet you it may be the Illegal Dog Park where they just built a beautiful 15 to 20 space Golf Cart parking lot overlooking the field. This is the same one where there were concerns last year about killing the lawn during the drought. I don't think that the Dogs are the problem I think the Carts are. The men building the Cart Lot said the fence was coming shortly.

The area you are thinking of is between Morse Blvd and El Camino Real, south of the hospital.

You are correct. I lose every bet that's why I stopped betting.
I know where you mean now. Maybe there was a Critter that crawled out of the pond over there?

Something strange is going on this morning I really saw guys digging holes and putting fence poles in the field and the laying out fence rails. Then later this afternoon everything is gone except the flags showing underground wiring. There was a lady lake truck there and then everything is gone. Hope I’m not getting loony. Maybe kangaroos are being kept out . Sorry everyone next time I will wait until the deed is done

The parking spots were added by the open space across from the hospital, El Camino & Morse Blvd.
