It is Christmas time in The Villages. New friends have been made, and neighbors in each village are getting together to celebrate the holidays. I feel like I am celebrating Christmas everyday, living in the most wonderful place, with the most wonderful people, in the world.

well said, ale....
Often, internet forums like this can dwell on negatives and complaints which are not always accurately reflective of the true nature of the greater membership. By and large, TOTV members and Villagers are very happy, positive, caring people. The vast majority of us know that we live in a special place at a special time. Future generations may not have the same opportunities for a leisurely retirement that many (but certainly not all) Villagers enjoy. I, for one, am very grateful to be able to live like this and appreciate that such a unique place exists.
Sunny and 75 on Christmas Eve out playing golf in shorts. Not bad.

We also just bought in October. It has been a whirlwind. We traveled back to Maryland from Thanksgiving to Christmas, we just couldnt imagine being without the family. I feel like a child that has a brand new shiny Christmas gift from Santa. I am home..in The Villages, ready to play for the rest of my life.

Seven years now and don't have the itch to leave.
Love it here. Sincerely, without compensation, truly, cross my heart.Just because, honestly, completely, peacefully and joyfully.
If you have to get older, this is the place to do it.
Happy New Year and love to all.
