Aware of this Internet tizzy?

Yanny or Laurel? The audio version of 'The Dress' has arrived - CNN (https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/15/health/yanny-laurel-audio-social-media-trnd/index.html)

I have heard both at different sites. Laurel mostly but Yanny on another.

the volume makes a difference and the actual speaker impacts the sound as well.

it's a blue dress

This is a good link where you can get an explanation why we hear different names.

Yanny at all volumes. Can't hear Mrs. Nucky worth a damn except for meals! Does it show?

Yep...all 50 or so times now.

I have a lot of reporters from various local networks as people I follow on Facebook and a number of these news stations are talking about this thing this morning and they seem to hear either Yanny or Laurel. I heard Yanny when one of these news people played the tape even though it sounded a little funny.

I heard it several times this morning while watching the news on my tablet. Clearly it was Yanny. When I heard it over the TV, clearly it was Laurel. Source sound quality made a big difference for me. Also blue dress.

It came from some kind of high school assignment where the student heard the word "laurel" according to a CBS News segment last night.

Yanny or Laurel debate: Do you hear Laurel or Yanny in the audio clip? And what's the explanation? - CBS News (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/yanny-vs-laurel-what-do-you-hear/)

Wired magazine solved part of the mystery Wednesday when it revealed the origins of the audio recording in question. Katie Hetzel, a freshman at Flowery Branch High School in Georgia, had a question about one of her vocabulary words, "laurel." "She looked it up on Vocabulary.com, and played the audio. Instead of the word in front of her, she heard 'yanny.'" Wired reports.
