"If you build it, they will come".............. A high speed rail line between the current north end of the Villages, at CR 42, and the future south end of the Villages, probably at Orlando's north city limits, will be needed in the future. ;)

Is this additional Leesburg property being bought or part of the previously announced Leesburg purchase?

First two paragraphs of the link in the OP??

LEESBURG — The city won’t be able to sell quite as much land to The Villages as it hoped because it must still use some of the land on County Road 470 for wastewater treatment.
Last year, the city planned to sell 1,938 acres for $11.9 million in the area where CR 470 meets Florida’s Turnpike. Now, that figure has been cut to 1,115 acres for $7.8 million.

That's because it is pre-fertilized.:)

per article-Once designed solely as a sprayfield site for treated sewage, the city was trying to sell the CR 470 site for industrial use when The Villages expressed an interest in buying the land. It did manage to sell one parcel to a construction company for $1 million.

Wouldn't a monorail, like Disney has make TV small again. I'd love it myself.

Thanks. I know sometimes people think they are talking about additional land being bought rather than just more info about the same land previously announced. It's always good to make it clear.
