Has anyone ordered their pets meds like the heartgard via mail. I have seen this on TV - but - have not know anyone that has done it. Could you tell me who you ordered from - and were you satisfied?

My wife does this for us. She is happy with http://www.1800petmeds.com/ and http://www.drsfostersmith.com/
She bounces back and forth between the two depending on specials, e.g., shipping costs, etc.
We buy flea and tick, joint meds and heart worm. She tells me we save lots of money :highfive:

I use Drs Foster & Smith and find their prices to be very competitive with the various mail order places and certainly cheaper than buying from my vet. I just ordered Frontline from them this morning.
You'll need a prescription from your vet for heartgard or other actual meds. Also keep in mind if your pet is on any "human" type medication it may be less expensive at Walgreens, CVS, etc. Our dog has allergies and I used to get 4mg chlorpheniramine from the vet at $16 for 60 pills. I talked to the pharmacist at Walgreens and now get their brand off the shelf (exact same make-up/dosage) for $4.99 for 50. And I think the Walgreens brand controls her allergies better!
Like everything else, shop around!
