Lawn care, insect control

We are seriously considering buying a villa and will probably try to rent it out. We have a pretty good handle on mosts of the costs to owning a place in The Villages. But we would like to get a handle on the monthly cost for insect and termite control as well as landscape maintenance (lawn mowing, tree and shrub trimming, weeding etc.). Also would be looking for someone to maintain the irrigations system. If anyone has some info on this and has some recomendations for service it would be appreciated.

Hard to say how my figures may relate to your needs, because my Designer home has more yard to take care of. But, here are some figures:

Lawn mowing = $50 per month. In "season," that's every week; off-season, morfe likely every other week.

Weeding, bush/tree trimming, etc. = $35 per month. Not entirely satisfied with the service, but they do come regularly.

Irrigation service = don't use anybody. When (more likely, if) I have an "issue," I call Water Wizard, who have helped with little hassle.

Termites, etc. = I use Massey, at $99 per year. Probably more than is necessary, but they are thorough, professional and their service certainly eases my find! An additional fee covers at least quarterly inspection for bugs, etc., etc. Again, undoubtedly more costly than necessary, but I do not care!
