Polaris cart

Awhile ago some people posted that they had ordered a Polaris golf cart and I was wondering how everyone was doing...have you received your cart and are you happy with your purchase? Thanks, jackie

I looked at the Polaris and it is a very nice looking cart, but i'm not sure it's a question of how the cart looks today or how is it doing after 2 weeks or 2 months, but what will it be like after 2 years or 5 years, i have owned 4 club cars over the last 15 years (in more than one location) and never had any major problems, i recommend you buy CC or one of the other major cart manufacturers, but that's just my opinion....gn

We've had our Polaris for about 5 months now and I love it! Hubby is still not all that sure about it though. He really liked our Par Car.
When we bought our cart, we opted for different wheels which meant different tires. Both are 10 inch, but the newer tires are high profile and I feel it changes the feel of the ride somewhat. The cart is still easy to handle, but the ride isn't quite as smooth as it is with the standard wheels and tires. There was some problem with out of round tires and that took just a bit of time to resolve that with Village Golf Cars.

The cart charges well, we get good "mileage." Driving it is comfortable. Villages Golf Cars now has a soft sided cooler to carry cold beverages and food in. It's pretty neat, you can bring it into the house to fill and then put it back in the cart. When we bought, a cooler wasn't an option. When we got our cart, the back up "beep, beep, beep" was so loud we had to cover our ears. Villages GC adjusted that for us.

So far, there have been no problems, but as has been said, it's early in the life of this model. Polaris has a good reputation for making quality vehicles for recreation so I expect this one will preform well, too.

Thanks Pooh, this was the type of information I was interested in. We really liked the look of the Polaris and are thinking ahead to our next golf cart purchase. I appreciate the update and will Bump this again in about six months. We have a Yamaha now and it is great, but I do like the looks and added features on the Polaris.

Yamahas are good carts....I'm surrounded by them in my neighborhood....:)

We have decided we will be a two golf cart couple when we move down in September, one gas and one electric. We do a lot of different activities when we're in The Villages. I hate the noise and smell of gas, and I don't like that they are not environmental friendly, but since the Villages is getting so big, feel like we need one to be gas. We also want one to be a four seater for when we have guests/grandkids.

My first thought was to get 2 two-seaters and just loan one to guests when needed but have also decided that it's not all that easy to learn the golf cart trails and rules of the road and would hate to see a guest come to peril. And I don't think I will ever let my grandkids drive them until they're about 18!

Back to Polaris Breeze. We had just about decided on a gas 4 seater Yamaha until we looked at the Polaris. Just loved everything about this cart, including ease of driving, place for cooler or purse or minor shopping, and best of all, the fold-up backseat and footrest. Going to check Consumer Reports, but leaning toward buying this cart in the fall.

It's been about 6 weeks since any updates from anyone - do any owners have anything more to add? Salesperson told us they all come with 10 inch wheels, as do the 4 seater Yamahas as well.

We've had our Polaris for about 6 months now and I love it. Hubby doesn't like it as much as I do, but he doesn't take the cart golfing all that often these days. He walks most of the courses .

It does have a good ride and might I recommend NOT changing the wheels to the others available from the Villages Golf Carts. Those wheels require high profile tires and the ride isn't quite as nice with them.

The cart is a bit slower than our previous cart, a Par Car, but fast enough for my purposes. Having the back seat is great. We were in a scavenger hunt this week and we were able to drive all our team in one cart. Worked out well, we could discuss clues as we drove around. We didn't win, but we sure did have fun being all together.

If you're a shorter person, the cart is wonderful. The driver's seat back moves forward, the windshield split is lower so it's not in your line of sight. They're good looking, too!

I have my Polaris cart since September and really like it. The range is good, I have not had any problems playing golf at HillTop...returning to home in Penecamp ...and then going to the square on one charge. Not bad and about as far as you can go today.

The only issue is that it leans in the curves..but you get used to that. This is due to its height, as well as the coil springs all around.

Service has been fantastic at The Villages Golf Store... one day turn-around time.
