I guess this question will be answered by MD's and healthcare administrators. I'm wondering why a DR would opt to be part of VHC. I understand that they have fewer patients and a salary which would be one reason.

I've belonged to VHC for several years and am quite happy with the doctors and specialists.

Just curious.

I wonder why they leave. I have just been assigned my fourth doctor since 2014.

I’ve wondered this myself. Some are semi-retired who likely want to give up the stress of private practice. Maybe each has his own reason, but it does seem to be a revolving door.

A few specialists I have talked to outside " the system " believe the main goal is to hire doctors who want to enjoy a semi-retired status and " hold hands " with healthy seniors. Does discouragement follow when they realize " the system " is not designed to deal with those patients eventually seriously compromised medically, who knows ?
