I have not figured out the sq miles, but there was just an article in "The Villages Voice" that had some fun data. The article does not seem to be online yet at www.vha.net but should be soon.

From the article....

Homes grew past 40,000
population grew past 77.000

Plan is 55,000 homes with a polulation of 105,000

32 villages done out of 42

educated guess is that there are 40,000+ golf carts in TV.

1500 clubs and activities
9000 tee time request/day

500+ softball teams
