First time I ever saw 0% 'recommend' by every critic on Rotten Tomato...= 58% audience.

Have MoviePass, so went a couple days ago (LSL), about 25 in the theater - surprising considering the reviews. I went with an "Italian" friend who lived a few blocks away from where Gotti lived in Howard Beach NY. Thought he could translate some Italian dialog for me, but no need.

NOT a movie to bring grandkids. Or anyone sensitive to violence or language. Or anyone that expects it will be a wonderful entertaining film. Halfway thru the movie - I hated it, 2/3 thru - kinda OK, at the end - glad I didn't spend $9. The storyline jumped all over his lifetime, but had quite a few captions with character names, locations, years - made it easier to follow.

Thought that Travolta did the best he could with the material, but the directing was horrible. Four directors, 44 producers and eight years to make the movie...

1.5 / 5 stars.

Like Travolta in some things but will probably skip this one completely.

Heard on t.v. or somewhere, it glorified the Gotti family. I'm not interested in putting forth $$ towards something that exemplifies evil (ie. murder and more).

All you need is The Godfather I/II and the Goodfellas.

We have been looking forward to this movie a whole lot. It has been some time since a great Mob movie has come out. Glad you and even more importantly your wife liked it. I'll get back to you shortly. Forgetaboutit!

FBI = Forever Bothering Italians. :police: It is a joke. Please take it that way.

This was not a stretch for Travolta. Stacy Keech is not nearly as visible. Travolta was a bad pick. It doesn't look like an 8 year project. It's good for moviepassers but the big screen doesn't make it any better.
